i looked at this photo 7-12 times a session when writing i don't respect female expression. during editing i spent 3 dollars to have the picture printed out in color. i put the picture on my wall and continually gazed at it for silent periods of 8-10 minutes contemplating the relationship between the forces in the painting. this piece feels 'all important' for me .


Tran Nguyen's illustrations are therapeutic in a vague way. They seem to silently shout at some part of culture which I've felt before but never interpreted. I feel at comfort with myself when I look at her paintings.
