I'm interested in things that happen between two people. I'm interested in things people do secretly. I'm interested in relationships that are complicated. I'm interested in the way drugs and technology interact amongst people. I'm interested in strange places that shouldn't exist. I'm interested in love as an object. I'm interested in people taking baths. I'm interested in urge. I'm interested in the darkness inside of people. I'm interested in seasons. I'm interested in things that don't really exist externally to me. I'm interested in people in their 20s. I'm interested in things that are probably, mostly silly.

i found this interesting and read it obsessively to the end. i was disappointed that you chose "silly" as the last word because now that's going to stick in my head like a rusty knife even though you're not silly and the things you're interested in aren't silly. i can see though how easy it is to end with that word, silly.

ReplyDeletei'm interested in a lot of these things, too. the seasons aren't usually included, i don't think, in things people say they're interested in. in brooklyn it's starting to feel like fall now. a lot of people i know get irritated when i say this, because it means summer is over. but i prefer fall. it's nice. nostalgia-inducing.
